Arkansas Wedding Photographers – Engagement Session – Chris and Suzanne

We had the opportunity to do an awesome engagement session last weekend here in Eureka Springs with Chris and Suzanne! It was gorgeous and sunny outside and they were a fantastic couple to photograph and hang out with. We’re really looking forward to doing their wedding by the lake in Branson this September!! So…maybe you didn’t know this – but we occasionally do family sessions upon request! They are so relaxed compared to weddings, Dad and I have a blast playing around and being funny with everyone (including the pets!). In this case, we had a great family with a super cool Bassett Hound named Cali. It was a beautiful, extremely windy day – the colors were still so pretty! Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we enjoyed the shoot!

Eureka Springs Wedding Photographers – Cesare and Lakeetra at Thorncrown Chapel

I couldn’t help but love this wedding! It was held on New Year’s Eve at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, AR. For December in Arkansas, it couldn’t have been more beautiful. It was sunny and breezy and the afternoon light made the whole world sparkle. Cesare and Lakeetra were a wonderful couple with a gorgeous son that just melted everyone’s hearts, esp. when he recited an Italian blessing over his parents during the wedding. Since the whole family lives in Italy, we felt blessed that they found us and we got to be a part of their special day. Hope you enjoy the portraits!

Fayetteville Arkansas Wedding Photographers – Lane and Michael’s Wedding

2011 was a wonderful year! Can’t wait to post some super cool New Years themed blog! Ha ha! Until then, I thought I would post a few of our favorite portraits from our December 23rd wedding with Lane and Michael. It was a gorgeous wedding held at St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable with a reception following at The Inn at Carnall Hall in Fayetteville, AR. We had beautiful weather that day and couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend it with. Congrats you two!!!

Eureka Springs Photographers – Engagement Session – Tyler and Valarie

I can’t even describe to you how much fun this engagement session was! Dad and I had a blast with Tyler and Valarie, who drove all the way from Texas to have their session with us! They were both such fun happy people – and just all around easy to shoot (in the photographic sense of course – lol).

We’re always scouting out new locations for our shoots so each couple gets some really unique portraits. We took Tyler and Valarie to some new places in our area we haven’t shot at before and the pics turned out great! Hope you enjoy them!

Wow. That’s the word that comes to mind when I look back on this session with Michael and Lane. These are two completely gorgeous people. We had the privilege of shooting their engagement session on Lane’s Dad’s property in the country – and it was beautiful! He has an amazing cabin as well, which is where we shot the pool table scenes. LOVED IT!!!

Model Taylor / Arkansas Portrait and Galmour Photographer

So, a few months ago, I was contacted by this beautiful young model – Taylor. We had lunch, talked about shoot ideas and wardrobe, and everything fun in between. Since then we’ve been plotting our takeover of the local modeling world, lol, and we’ve gotten to do one fun session. I have to say, Taylor’s a natural when it comes to modeling. I’ve worked with some beautiful people in my lifetime, but it takes a lot more than beauty to model. When you get behind the lens, you realize it’s all about angles and how a girl/woman carries herself. Does she know how to position her body to flatter herself and what she’s wearing, do her eyes look inviting or expressionless, does she have a wide range of movement, does she have a cooperative and willing attitude, etc.? Taylor is wondeful to work with and has a grasp on all of these things – can’t wait to see what she does with them in the future! There are a large group of people in the world who think too much. I am definitely one of those people, although I believe I’ve toned it down over the last 10 years or so. Today I was being thoughtful as usual, and thought it best to ponder on the things I like – rather than what I dislike. Yesterday was Halloween, and I LOVE Halloween. I love taking my kids trick-or-treating on the same streets my parents took me when I was little. Plus, Halloween is the anniversary of the day I first got my three oldest children. (They came into my foster care 9 years ago yesterday, and I adopted them a few years later!) I love 75 degree days in the middle of Fall when the trees are on fire and it’s warm enough for me to enjoy them. I like unexpected romance from unexpected people. I like the truth that some relationships really do last forever, and that statistics don’t dictate our futures – we do. I like to remind myself that individuals are priceless and valuable because there will never be another just like them. I love the reality of the butterfly effect. I see the ripples and waves and even hurricanes all the time – and I wonder how many I have started myself. Lastly for now, I love how God is the ultimate comforter, mender, gatherer of broken pieces, and rebuilder if needed. Life is good, so if there be any good things – think on these.
