Wow, guys, this wedding was SO COOL. It was just Matthew and Tahnya and they had the gorgeous Thorncrown Chapel all to themselves!! PLUS, (and this is a big plus), it was STORMING. A huge storm was blowing in, and it caught us with a downpour after about 5 minutes of shooting outside after the ceremony. It was AWESOME!!!
In addition to all that, I have to say, I LOVED Tahnya’s pink dress! The world should have more pink wedding dresses. 🙂 That is all.
Oh wow, there is so much I could say about Mike and Angie’s wedding. I met them several months before the wedding and was so excited to hear that they were planning a Buffalo River wedding in Ponca, AR. Ponca is one of my favorite places on the planet, and since I own land nearby, I feel like home there. Dad and I often go on adventures out by the Buffalo, cameras in hand, like modern day explorers. 😉 So, I knew we would LOVE shooting this awesome couple’s wedding. And we DID!! It was a beautiful Fall wedding at a gorgeous lodge that backs up to a creek and the woods. If you’re ever in the area, you should definitely check out the Cedar Crest Lodge. It’s perfect for small weddings or family reunions! 🙂
Anyways, here are some of our favorite portraits from Mike and Angie’s special day. Enjoy!!! 🙂
Eric and Laura were such an awesome couple!! They came up from Texas to have their wedding at Laura’s parents’ house in Little Rock. It was such a lovely Victorian home – it was the perfect venue for a small Fall wedding. I have to say, I was in love with the details of this wedding. The moss, the deer, the flowers – *sigh* – perfect! After the ceremony, we headed to the Mark Twain Riverboat for a casual reception and short river tour. Our groom is licensed to drive these awesome boats, so he got to steer for a while! So cool! 🙂
*Sigh*…this wedding was so gorgeous. It took place at the perfect time of day, during a beautiful time of year, at a stunning location, in to-die-for light. 🙂 Stephen and Ashley had their lovely tiny wedding ceremony at St. Catherine’s at Bell Gable in Fayetteville, AR. Their informal reception followed at the Cedar Lodge in Bella Vista, AR. The day was just so picturesque from start to finish. If only all weddings were this easy! 😉 One of my favorite things from their wedding was the replica of the chapel Ashley’s grandfather made them as a wedding gift. He made it by hand, and her mother painted it. It brought tears to my eyes when they opened it!!
A few years back, we had the privilege of shooting Michelle’s sister’s wedding in Altus, AR. So, of course, when Michelle contacted me about shooting her wedding this winter, we were SUPER excited!! Chris and Michelle live in Dallas, so naturally, the bridal session and wedding were held there as well.
We ended up shooting this beautiful session with Michelle at the end of December at the Dallas Arboretum. It was a chilly 40 something degrees outside, but Michelle was a trooper! We had so much fun wandering the grounds getting amazing shots of Michelle, who is absolutely STUNNING in every way. We are so honored she and Chris chose us to capture these images as well as their special day. 🙂 We love our clients!
Here are a few of our favorites from our Dallas bridal session with Michelle. Enjoy!! 🙂
I’m sure everyone already knows this, but Blue Springs Heritage Center in Eureka Springs, AR holds a special place in my heart. 🙂 I was married to the love of my life there 2 1/2 years ago! So, of course, I was thrilled when Ross and Gloria hired us to photograph their elopement there towards the end of Summer. 🙂 It was an early morning wedding, and the weather was completely perfect. I loved the bright Summer colors and how they made Gloria’s sweet red dress pop in all of the portraits. The three of us had such a fun morning roaming the gardens. Beautiful couple + perfect Summer day = happy wedding photographer. 🙂
Here are some of my favorites from their big day – enjoy!! 🙂
Matthew and Alyssa were such a sweet couple. 🙂 They had the perfect intimate Summer wedding in Eureka Springs, AR. Their ceremony was at the gorgeous Thorncrown Chapel, and they had a reception following at the Sky Ridge Pavilion.
I have to say, when I saw Alyssa’s dress, I was totally floored! I loved the dress and cathedral veil combo – so so gorgeous. 🙂 Matthew and Alyssa also had some super cool cakes featuring fairy-tales and books. They had such a fun style!
Here are some of our favorites from their special day. Enjoy! 🙂
I was actually lucky enough to meet Gizelle long before her wedding and chat with her about what she was envisioning for her big day. We had a great time getting to know each other over coffee, so I was totally thrilled when she booked us for her wedding. Once it arrived, it was a gorgeous Spring day with plenty of sunshine and a lot of wonderful family and friends who traveled thousands of miles to see Brendan and Gizelle marry. The wedding and the following reception were both held at St. Anthony’s on the Creek in Lowell, AR. This is such a beautiful venue!! We were excited to be able to shoot there when everything was in full bloom! And of course, Brendan and Gizelle were such a sweet couple to work with. We are just so blessed to have such great clients. 🙂 Enjoy!

I don’t even know where to begin with Sean and Lexy – they are SO FUN! They came down to Eureka Springs last Fall for their engagement session and we had a blast running around half the county taking portraits. We knew then that we were going to love shooting their wedding in the Spring. 🙂 When it came time, the weather was gorgeous, Sean and Lexy looked amazing, and the day went perfectly. They had their ceremony at Thorncrown Chapel and a reception following at the Inn of the Ozarks. Enjoy!!
First, let me just say that I absolutely LOVE this couple. 🙂 I was introduced to Sammie about 3 years ago by our company’s Children’s/Family photographer, Nicona Jones. We all went out to dinner, where I also met Sammie’s boyfriend at the time – Wesley. They were such a fun couple! Not long after, Sammie asked me to do a portrait session for her. She ended up loving those portraits, and later hired me to do a couple’s session for her and Wesley. Fast forward a few years, and I had the privilege of shooting their engagement session, Sammie’s maternity session, AND FINALLY they’re BEAUTIFUL wedding. 🙂 I have to say, I love building relationships like this one with my clients. Dad and I continue to be blessed with lifelong clients who include us in all of the big events of their lives. They trust us wholeheartedly to capture all of the wonderful moments and phases they want to remember and be remembered for. And, of course, we are always honored to do so. 🙂
Now, on to the wedding! Wesley and Sammie were married and held their reception at The Garden Room in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have to say, I love this venue. The people there are polite and gracious, and the atmosphere is that of a beautiful vintage/rustic backyard wedding (in a super GORGEOUS backyard ;). It was a warm late Spring day and it was sunny and perfect. Can’t get much better than that!
